Banner x (responsive)

What's the difference between banner ads and banner X ads?

Banner X ads are responsive banner ads with multi-components that are served to a retailer's frontend. CitrusAd sends each individual component of the banner, and the banner’s styling is managed by the retailer's frontend. As banners are multi-component, the context and requests are slightly different from normal banners. Where bannerSlotIds is used in banner ads, you are able to call multiples of the same banner slots with the maxNumberOfAds option.

Banner ads require a simple bannerSlotId array to be sent to CitrusAd in addition to the context of the page. By receiving the context of the page, CitrusAd ensures relevant banners are shown to your customers.
